Competition Organiser's training
In order to get more people, especially juniors, competing more often there needs to be more opportunities to take part in local competitions as currently there simply aren’t enough organised competitions to meet demand. Have you any parents or young people at your club who would like be part of helping to provide these opportunities by getting trained up as a competition organiser and getting involved.
The training is a 3 hour session delivered locally by your Tennis Development Managers. Find out when the next training course is happening near you by speaking to your local county office. Click here for contact details. Once trained your young volunteers and parents will be able to organise and run all types of competitions: from those that last a few hours to a two week event, but organising a mini tennis competition at your local facility for 8 kids is a great place to start.

Recruiting volunteers from outside your club
Have you thought about looking for volunteers outside your club?
Many organisations recruit volunteers from outside their structure or sector and there is no reason why tennis clubs can’t do the same. So if you need:-
- Someone to help write a business plan for your club.
- Professional advice.
- Someone to write your monthly newsletter.
- People to make cakes for a club event.
- Someone to help you fundraise.
……why don’t you look outside your club and advertise your volunteering opportunity to your local community.
